Role Description
We seek a Communications and Marketing Specialist who will play a key role in enhancing our brand presence and driving engagement across multiple platforms. You will be responsible for creating and managing content across our social media platforms, enhancing our public relations efforts, writing and initiatives, divisions, and event promotions. It requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, an ability to execute strategies, and a keen understanding of social media and digital marketing trends. This is a hybrid role that primarily involves remote work.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Growth: Edit and contribute to op-eds and press releases, securing media placements that enhance brand visibility.
Marketing and Promotion: Develop and carry out marketing and promotional strategies. Develop materials for events and product launches, ensuring alignment with the company’s brand values and communication goals.
Campaign Strategies: Execute and monitor ad campaigns across various platforms (Meta Ads, LinkedIn), including podcast promotions, book events, and other Wocstar initiatives.
Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors for social media, PR, and content creation to ensure quality and timely delivery of services. Experience in creating press releases and managing public relations
Social Media Oversight: Manage and coordinate with social media, PR, and op-ed vendors to ensure consistent and effective messaging across all channels. Create and oversee the creation of reports using Canva and other tools to track the performance and impact of social media efforts. Proficiency in social media platforms
Event Promotion: Strategically promote Wocstar events and initiatives, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement.
Analytics & Reporting: Track press and social media metrics, analyze data to optimize future campaigns, and report on analytics to stakeholders.
Content Creation: Design and oversee the creation of media content, including static and video ads, newsletters, blog posts, and social media updates. Manage content scheduling with vendors around significant events and company milestones.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
Proven Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a communications or marketing role, preferably within the media, entertainment, or related industries.
